The CH25 Lounge Chair, designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1950, perfectly embodies the formal purity and essentiality that characterize many of his most iconic creations. At the time of its launch, the armchair garnered particular interest due to an unexpected choice of materials.

For the seat and backrest, Wegner opted for paper cord weaving, a material developed during World War II as an alternative to seagrass and never before used in furniture. Fascinated by its natural appearance, tensile strength, and remarkable durability, the designer made it a distinctive element of the project. A choice that proved to be both innovative and timeless.

In continuous production since 1950, the CH25 is a testament to Wegner's forward-thinking vision. Each piece is handcrafted: it takes approximately 10 hours of work and nearly 400 meters of paper cord to complete the weaving of the seat and backrest, performed with a precise technique visible on both sides.

The result is an armchair of extraordinary construction quality, fascinating from every angle and considered a true icon of modern Danish design.
