"S-Chair" Sedia Paglia di Palude

The iconic S-Chair by Tom Dixon began as a piece with a strong artisanal character and evolved into a true industrial success, without ever losing the original essence of the design.

An emblem of contemporary design, the S-Chair is part of the permanent collections of some of the worlds most important museums, from the Triennale di Milano to the MoMA in New York.

The chair features a dark painted metal structure. The original and most iconic version is woven in marsh straw; additional variants are available in rattan or with a fixed upholstery in a curated selection of leathers and fabrics from the collection.

In the marsh straw version, the weaving process is carried out entirely by hand—a meticulous operation that requires approximately six hours of craftsmanship, making each piece unique.
